We decided we wanted to check out some of the Beartooth Scenic Highway so we made our way up through Montana and into the park through the Northeast Entrance.

Coming in this way gives you some great mountain views before dropping you into beautiful Lamar Valley...

Unfortunately, we did not get to see any of the famous Yellowstone wolves. We did however, get to talk to a local expert. She told us all about the recent happenings with both packs, as well as who to look for to share super powered binoculars. Never underestimate the kindness of strangers.
