Admittedly we got lost trying to find the Ice Lake Trail after camping at Priest Lake.  However, it did lead us to a couple amazing discoveries.

First: The Trout Lake Trestle which is the only surviving bridge of the ~`100 that were built for the Rio Grande Southern Railroad in the area.

After realizing we were literally on the wrong side of the mountain to get to Ice Lake we consulted a topo map which lead us to our second discovery: Ophir Pass.  You can find more information and an excellent write up on Trail Damage.

Map of Ophir Pass...

The trail to Ice Lake is amazing....

Unfortunately, our time at the trestle set us back enough that we didn't make it to the lake (see storm clouds below).  The trail starts at about 9,840 feet and gains ~2,400 feet over the next 3.5 miles.
