Colorado National Monument
Our original plan was to hit Hanging Lake, then Rifle Falls, and then spend the day in Grand Junction hitting wineries. After missing out on Hanging Lake on Friday (construction left us about 30 minutes away for 2 hours until just after dark) we decided to stop by Colorado National Monument.
Realizing that wine and mead usually lead to chocolate, ice cream, and whole peach pies we decided we better log a few miles hiking. We had a bit of a GPS malfunction, but here is the brochure for hiking around the monument. These pictures are from the Monument Canyon trail.
