Sky Pond Trail - RMNP
The route to Sky Pond takes you to Alberta Falls and then on to 3 alpine lakes that would all be destinations of their own if they weren't on the same trail. After 2.7 miles you come to Loch Vale (above), another 1.8 mi. puts you at Glass Lake (Seen from Sky Pond below) and then it's an easy .4 mi to Sky Pond.
There is some light scrambling involved to get to Glass Lake and Sky Pond, but nothing that should deter you. Plus, it's scrambling up a waterfall so it really doesn't get much better than that.
